Applications:
Apply when temperature is between 50??F (10??C) and 90??F (32??C) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Before beginning the project, tape around the area you wish to paint. Mix thoroughly to ensure any settled pigment is redispersed. Thinning is not required. Stir thoroughly regularly during application. Use a dense foam roller designed to give a smooth finish. Apply the primer with an up and down motion and work the area to give the smoothest finish. A smooth uniform surface will provide for stronger magnetic attraction.
Dry And Recoat Times:
Based on 77oF (25oC) and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to the touch in 30 minutes, and will dry to handle in 1 hour. Apply any latex topcoat after 4 hours. For best results, apply three thin coats instead of two heavy coats. Application of more than two heavy coats of topcoat will reduce the effectiveness of magnets. Wait 48 hours to ensure the surface is completely dry and ready for use. One can of Specialty Magnetic Primer will cover 16 square feet with 3 coats.
